Apple halts sales of Watch Ultra 2 and Watch Series 9 in the US owing to SPO2 monitoring

In light of the claimed infringement of Masimo’s patent rights, Apple supports the recent US International Trade Commission (ITC) directive that may result in an import ban on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, in the US.

The blood oxygen feature of the watches—which lets users know how much oxygen is in their blood—is the source of the legal issue. According to Cleveland Clinic, low blood oxygen levels can cause major health issues.
Apple.com will no longer offer online sales. Dec. 21, and in-store retail sales will end on Dec. 24, the business informed various media sites in a statement.

The disputed watches will continue to be marketed outside of the United States, as will Apple Watch variants without the blood-oxygen meter.Retailers will only be allowed to sell through their current supply as of December 26, when the import restriction on Apple Watches goes into effect.

Therefore, trustworthy stores like Amazon, Best Buy, , or Walmart would be your best bet if you wanted to purchase these models. You’ll just have to wait for this issue to be cleared up if they’re out of stock.
